Ocean Paddler

This UK based magazine is a great source of information and inspiration. Mostly focused on closed cockpit sea kayaking. Plenty of articles of relevance to the Sit-on-top and closed cockpit sea kayaking in Jersey. Recent articles have covered kayak navigation, safety, gear, reviews of sea kayaks etc.

The magazine is published bi-monthly at £4.99. It is worth subscribing to the paper version for the high quality photography.

Leave a copy lying about the house or at work to tempt friends and colleagues to go sea kayaking in Jersey. We may not have some of the dramatic landscapes but we certainly have impressive coastline and plenty to explore without spending hours driving to a put in. This magazine will inspire you to get out kayaking.

Wavelength-now called Coast&Kayak magazine

A west coast Canadian publication covering a broad range of sea kayaking including Sit-on-tops. Lots of information, technical tips and gear reviews. A regular camp cookery section with some great recipes!

If you are planning a sea kayak holiday the adverts section will give you ideas on destinations worldwide. With a strong focus on sea kayaking in Vancouver and British Columbia Wavelength is an excellent starting point to plan your sea kayak holiday.

The magazine is very informative on wild life and safety matters.
