Sit-on-top Kayak Club

Kayak club is open to anyone who has completed one of our courses and enjoys Sit-on-top sea kayaking in Jersey.

Get afloat with other paddlers

The club enables you to get afloat more easily and also to paddle when it suits you.

Kayaking for recreational paddlers who want to enjoy and explore our fantastic coastline.

Joining (currently free of charge) gives you the opportunity to:

Take part in regular Sit-on-top kayak trips with other like minded people who have completed our courses and are of a similar standard.

Benefit from reduced prices on our “club†sessions.

Venues will be posted on the members news board and sent out by Email a few days before the trip. Sit-on-top and/or closed cockpit kayakers welcome.

Club paddles will run approximately every 2 weeks between May and October and also at other times.

Look out for Emails and notice board messages for other club events and trips.

The more kit you own the less you pay to paddle with us.

Costs

All your own kit £20.

You must supply your own kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid and paddle jacket.

Need a kayak and paddle £25.

Supply your own wetsuit,buoyancy aid and paddle jacket.

Need all the gear supplied by us £32.50.

Last minute booking option on all tours at the club rates. Only available if you book a scheduled tour no more than 24 hours in advance.

Sit-on-Top Sea Kayak Recreational Paddling Course

For anyone with some experience of kayaking, who just wants to spend more time on the water and paddle in the company of others with an experienced instructor.

The emphasis is on discovering our hidden island, seeing wildlife and learning more about our marine history.

6 weeks, Tuesdays 25 May to 29 June 2010, 1800–2030

Members price

£195 per person with all kit supplied

£150 if you supply your own wetsuit and buoyancy aid.

£120 if you supply all your own kit and kayak.

To join any of the listed sessions email or phone to reserve a place. Don’t forget to tell us which gear option you need.

Pay as you go.

Phone, email or post payment when you make the booking.

Buy paddle credits

Pay an amount and we debit your club member account every time you go afloat. No need to keep entering credit/debit card details or writing cheques. Your paddle credits do not expire and can be used towards any of our events.

If you already have paddle credits these will continue to be accepted.
